Current Portfolios

Each Committee member will be responsible for maintaining a portfolio of activities which they are responsible for during their term. Portfolios have been created to support current WorldSkills Barbados activities. These are subject to review every term.

Committee chairperson

Act as the primary liaison between the WSBCC and WorldSkills Barbados to ensure regular communication and agreed tasks are completed. This role may be filled for the duration of the term or can be shared amongst all second term representatives (ie. six-month term each).

Competitions

Work with the WorldSkills Barbados Internal Committee to provide the champions’ a voice regarding the operationalization of the Competitions. Provide information from WorldSkills Barbados to the champions and vice versa.

Communications & social media

  • Work with the WorldSkills Barbados Internal Committee to develop clear, relevant messages to send to partners, sponsors, Champions, TVET stakeholders and the public about WSBCC and the WSB Programme.
  • Work with the WorldSkills Barbados Internal Committee to provide regular content for social media. Contribute to initiatives and provide feedback from, and on behalf of the WSBCC to the WorldSkills Barbados Internal Committee. Regular content will include social media posts (Facebook, IG, Tik Tok) news articles and other ongoing content (eg. Podcasts) as determined.

Partnerships (including sponsorship)

Work with the WorldSkills Barbados Internal Committee to develop and maintain relationships with organizations and individuals making active commitments to the WorldSkills Barbados programme. Match potential sponsors and partners with project ideas based on appropriate organizational fit.

Projects (including outreach & membership)

  • Work with the WorldSkills Barbados Internal Committee to develop project ideas and initiatives.
  • Present ideas to TVET Council

Identifying potential sources of project funding

Portfolio areas will be agreed on by the WorldSkills Barbados Internal Committee and WSBCC at the start of each new term.
