The WorldSkills Barbados Juniors (WSBJ) Future Skills Camp is back!

The five-day camp is aimed at students ages 11-13 and 14-18 years old, and aims to help them develop basic professional skills and make insightful career choices in an ever-changing labour market.

This year, WorldSkills Barbados will partner with WorldSkills Dominican Republic to equip participating students with skills in the area of Cyber Security.

Cyber Security is the practice of protecting networks, infrastructure and other Information Technology (IT) related areas from digital attacks. These cyber-attacks are usually aimed at accessing, changing, or destroying sensitive information; extorting money from users; or interrupting normal business processes.

By the conclusion, camp participants will be able to describe the cybersecurity world, criminals and professionals, explain ethics and cyber security laws, learn how to become a cyber security professional and much more!

The Future Skills Camp takes place September 12th – 16th , 2022.

The registration fee for the camp is Bds $100.00 per student.
