The WorldSkills Barbados podcast, entitled “Let’s Talk Skills” is a six-part series which focuses on all things related to skills development and the discipline of technical and vocational education and training (TVET), from the youth to the youth. The series is also geared towards building awareness around the WorldSkills International and the WorldSkills Barbados programme. 

In episode one, Young Skilled Professionals and WSB Champions (former competitors), Danny Mayers, Kristina Patrick and Peabo Sampson were interviewed on the topic of “What’s your Skills?” This was in keeping with the theme for World Youth Skills Day 2021. The three also discussed their experiences and participation at the WorldSkills Kazan 2019 competition, which was held in Russia. 

Episode two of the podcast, which is set to be released soon, will focus on the TVET Council (TVETC) Barbados and its services, as well as Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) as a discipline and its significance to the youth of Barbados and the world at large.
